| Temperment |
| A Rottweiler is very calm, confident, loving, and playful with his family. However, he can often be aloof, stubborn, and protective, especially towards strangers. This breed needs an owner who will take the time to socialize, exercise, and train with him on a regular basis. Being a working breed, Rottweilers need a job to do. If you do not supply them with a task, they will often find their own work (This is not always a good thing). Rottweilers will be a very loyal guardians to their family, but they can often act overprotective. Make sure you establish yourself as pack leader so your dog learns to always look to you first before making rash decisions. |
